WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Develops, leads, manages, and motivates staff.
Monitors staff performance, works with Human Resources on issues, works with employees to implement goals and document progress.
Determines settlement cash requirements and maintains appropriate cash balances.
Manages and reviews the preparation of cash flow forecasts, investment portfolio performance analysis and other financial reports.
Oversees movement of any excess settlement cash to and from the corporate banking structure.
Identifies foreign exchange and interest rate exposures and recommends hedging transactions to senior management.
Researches and recommends investment options available for short-term cash positions to senior management.
Partners with IT, Finance, Settlement Operations, and Legal to establish efficient and cost-effective flow of funds.
Maintains relationships with bank group, card schemes, vendors, etc.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
THE EXPERIENCE THAT YOU WILL BRING
Manage a team of both direct and indirect tax professionals, ensuring compliance with global tax laws and regulations.
Oversee all aspects of the non-US income and indirect tax returns and related audits; work closely with US Tax Operations leader to ensure proper reporting under ASC740.
Oversee, under the direct of the US Tax Operations leader, the design, implementation, and maintenance of tax governance processes & controls for the non-US jurisdictions.
Build and maintain good working relationships with tax authorities (HMRC)
Lead and/or assist with global tax planning efforts, with a focus on the tax optimization of the global footprint.
Proactively monitor the development of changes in tax laws and regulations and advise business and tax leadership accordingly.
Ensure necessary intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation is maintained.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.
Assist with global M&A projects.
