Fleet Maintenance Manager - Trucking/Delivery Fleet

We are currently seeking an experience Fleet Maintenance Manager for a role in the SODO area of Seattle, to lead a team of maintenance professionals who are tasked with the upkeep and repair of Medium/Heavy duty fleet vehicles, use for regional deliveries.

This is a senior leadership role that will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of the fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety, and will manage projects, and a team of technicians, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Some of the key, day to day Rresponsibilities for this role, will include:

• Managing the daily operations of the fleet maintenance department
• Scheduling and overseeing preventative maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Supervising and training maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance
• Monitoring inventory for parts and supplies needed for fleet maintenance
• Developing and implementing maintenance programs to improve vehicle reliability and reduce downtime
• Analyzing maintenance costs and prepare budgets for the department
• Coordinating and communicating with other departments to ensure timely repairs and maintenance of vehicles, and to adjust and reorganize priorities as needed and as they change.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Fleet Maintenance Manager, from both a hands-on maintenance specialist level, and from a team leader, supervisor, director of staff and projects basis.
• Strong knowledge of trucking repair and commercial vehicle maintenance - NEED TO BE FROM A HANDS ON role in the past, with direct experience in heavy duty and medium duty vehicle maintenance history.
• Experience using CMMS/Maintenance Software systems and tools to track, plan, schedule maintenance and Preventive schedules.
• Familiarity with CDL maintenance requirements.  CURRENT CDL IS A PLUS.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• ASE certification in relevant areas is a plus
