Job Description
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support our Merchandising Finance team. This role plays a crucial part in driving financial insights and supporting key business decisions. By identifying the right products that resonate with customers and fostering strong vendor relationships, the Merchandising team contributes significantly to overall revenue and profitability.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial planning & analysis (FP&A) support, helping to optimize financial processes and enhance data-driven decision-making. You'll develop financial models, generate insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and strategic initiatives. What You'll Do:
- Support key FP&A processes, including weekly business reviews, monthly sales and margin forecasting, annual planning, and strategic planning.
- Design, develop, and deliver insightful financial reporting, dashboards, and analyses.
- Lead executive-directed projects, including cost-out opportunity sizing, expense productivity, and commodity analysis.
- Collaborate across departments to provide root cause analysis and actionable insights based on financial and operational data.
- Offer proactive and timely financial analysis that identifies risks and opportunities, helping leadership make more informed business decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance, analytics, public accounting, or a related field.
- Strong experience with financial forecasting, analytic modeling, and report automation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or MBA.
- CPA, CFA, or CMA certification.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Previous experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Accounting.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools (such as MicroStrategy, TM1, Hyperion/Essbase, Business Objects, Teradata, etc.).
