Job Description

About the Family:  

A loving family in Decatur, GA, is seeking a compassionate and engaging nanny to help care for their newborn and 4-year-old son starting at the end of May. Both parents work in the hospital setting with a 2-week on/2-week off schedule. The family needs a nanny who is comfortable with flexible weekday hours and 1-2 weekends a month. They’re looking for someone long-term to assist through the summer and beyond, including weekend care once the kids are in daycare in August. 

Responsibilities:  

• Full-time care for the newborn starting end of May-August 
• Light meal prep and care for the 4-year-old 
• Tidy up after the kids (no laundry required) 
• Weekend care for both kids (1-2 weekends a month) 
• Must be comfortable driving kids around when needed (family provides car seat and booster seat) 
• Active, engaging activities with the 4-year-old, including soccer and swimming on weekends 

Qualifications:  

• CPR certified Must be able to drive (family provides car seat and booster seat) 
• Comfortable working in a dog-friendly home (older, docile dog) 
• Must be reliable and flexible with scheduling 
• Ability to engage with children at their level and keep them active 
• Experience with infants and toddlers is a plus 

Additional Information:  

• Family is looking for someone long-term and able to transition from full-time summer care to weekend care starting in August 
• Starting trials in late May (May 26-27), official start June 2 
• Pay rate: $25/hr

Schedule Notes:  

• Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (not every week, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off) through August 
• Starting in August, 1-2 weekends a month, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (sometimes just one day) Occasional weekday evening care, once a month or every other week after both kids are in daycare in August 
• Trial period from May 19-23; official start June 2 
• Must be available for weekend work starting in August
