Shipping Administrator

We are looking for an administrator to facilitate in transit shipments. You will monitor and track shipments for vendors and clients. Respond and follow up with email inquiries and some phone calls with client's shipments. Review bills of lading to ensure accuracy and fixing in shipment errors.
A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor shipments
• Respond to customer inquiries
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
• Inspect bill of lading for accuracy
• Communicate with vendors and customers to achieve day to day requirements
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management

Requirements

• Organizational skills and a good attitude
• Experience in customer service will be a plus
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
• Able to be on time and willing to learn
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience helpful but will train the right candidate
• Word and Excel
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be available for scheduled operating hours 8AM to 5PM
